Which of my photographs
is my favorite?
The one I’m going to take tomorrow.
What do you want to know about me? My name is Jordi Romo and I was born in Barcelona in 1981. I consider myself a happy, loyal, sincere person and with a lot of curiosity to know different cultures and discover new landscapes. All my life I have been in love with the arts such as photography or poetry, but above all I have always had an adventurous spirit and an imperative need to travel.
Sports have always been fundamental for me, among them cycling, swimming and, above all, football, which have given me innumerable joys and have endowed me with a series of very important attitudes such as respect, perseverance and the fight for what one always wants to stand up to the defeats.
I have studied graphic arts, photography and first aid among other things. However, suddenly my life changed completely and my dream of traveling all over the planet was gaining strength and my last project was to go around the world on a bicycle trying to show my camera a different point of view of the adventure.
Before starting the project around the ball I have traveled to other countries such as Peru, Argentina, Chile, Morocco, several countries in Europe, among others. My first experience away from my home was with 21 years old when I crossed the Atlantic to explore Peru. From that moment my life experienced a restlessness for the unknown, which has given birth to a growing curiosity to reach new dreams, including being a good photographer.
Like many photographers, I’m often asked, particularly at art exibithions, what equipment I use in my landscape photography. For those who find this of interest, the following list is my current equipment configuration.
I have owned many different Sony E lenses in the past, and over time, have settled on the following list. This equipment is pivotal to implementing my photographic vision in my images.
In addition to the following equipment, I also use my iphone 5s to capture some pictures.
- Sony Alpha 7 RIII (FullFrame)
- Sony Alpha 6000 (APSC)
- Phantom 4 Pro (Drone)
- GoPro 7 Black (Adventure)
- 24mm f/1.4 FF GM (Sony)
- 50mm f/1.4 FF ZEISS (Sony)
- 24-240mm f/3.5-6.5 FF (Sony)
- 16-50mm f3.5-5.6 APSC OSS (Sony)
- 18-200mm f3.5-6.5 APSC (Sony)
AND TO PROCESS THE IMAGES
- Adobe Lightroom software (images)
- Adobe Premiere Software (video)
- Cature One Software (images)
- NEC Multisync PA241w wide-gamut monitor
- ASUS R510V computer
- Ipad 2018
Thinker of fresh ideas.
The photography and its composition are elements that go in compsition with what, silently, I scrutinize every detail, play with the shadows and, until the fatigue, fight for the perfect composition between the subject and the emptiness that surrounds it, because, even before to take my camera in my hand, I know exactly what I should enter the 36 × 24 mm of my sensor.
New Experiences are New Insights
The artistic photography and adventure photography had never been so close to each other, the views created in the 179,000 photographs taken on their trip around the world attest to that.
